Yes. Crown is necessary in most cases to strengthen the tooth and make the tooth functional. However, in some cases we also suggest conservative options for INLAY or ONLAY.
"Re RCT" is Re-treatment Root Canal Therapy. It is performed when a previous root canal therapy has failed or a new problem has developed in the same tooth. This might be necessary due to various reasons:
- Incomplete cleaning of the canals in the initial treatment
- Missed canals during the first procedure
- Delayed placement of the crown after the initial root canal
- New decay or infection
- A fractured tooth or filling
- Recontamination due to a loose, cracked, or broken crown
The procedure involves reopening the tooth, removing the old root canal filling material, cleaning the canals again, and then refilling and resealing the tooth. It's generally more complex than the initial root canal treatment and may require more specialized techniques or equipment.
