All-on-4 or All-on-6 Dental Implants
(also known as all-on-x)
“All-on-4 or All-on-6” implants refer to a dental implant technique used to replace a full arch of missing teeth, typically in the upper or lower jaw. Here’s a breakdown of what it involves:
1. Implants fixture : Four or six dental implants are strategically placed in the jawbone. These implants act as anchors for a prosthetic dental bridge or denture.
2.Prosthesis : A custom-made prosthetic bridge or denture is then attached to the implants. This bridge or denture spans the entire arch of missing teeth, providing a stable and functional replacement.
- Teeth on same of surgery: In many cases, temporary teeth can be attached to the implants on the SAME DAY as the surgery, allowing patients to leave with functional teeth shortly after the procedure.
- Saving the jaw bone: Dental implants stimulate the jawbone, helping to prevent bone loss that can occur when teeth are missing.
- Cost-effective: All-on-4 or All-on-6 implants can be more cost-effective compared to replacing each missing tooth with an individual implant.
